8-Day Walk for the 99%!

Two years ago I walked 140 miles in 12 days from the NY Stock Exchange on Wall Street up to Albany to make the point that the worst things to do in deep recession are budget cuts, layoffs, union-busting…

[also—depending on how this Walk for the 99% goes, Team Tyner is also planning similar walks from Delhi onward, Hudson to Coxsackie, Cooperstown to Cobleskill, Monticello to Liberty, Oneonta to Sidney; let us know if you’d like to help us plan those!… (can’t do this without you all; step up now folks!)]

[again—Team Tyner conference call tonight 9 pm—call 845-444-0599 now to sign up to participate]

Once more—this is crucial—we need you in grass roots across the 19th c.d. to step up to the plate to be responsible for organizing/educating, mobilizing, locking down YOUR individual communities for this campaign, GOTV; for each of 140+ municipalities(!)… let us know asap if you can do that for Team Tyner, folks!…

Send $$$ you can—to Joel for Congress, 324 Browns Pond Rd., Staatsburg, NY 12580, or click here for PayPal—pass it on!…

Wondering what the Team Tyner plan is to mobilize Dems to come out in force for June 26th primary?…

Here it is!….(note: actual rallies/press conferences for these nine issues won’t necessarily be on Mondays):

[these ten issues below encapsulate our winning populist, progressive campaign—heart of Dem party]

[note: we already have Women for Tyner and Students for Tyner launched on Facebook—please let us know ASAP if you might be interested in helping to launch Seniors for Tyner on Facebook—and/or Small Business for Tyner, Labor for Tyner, Fractivists for Tyner, Farmers for Tyner, or Veterans for Tyner!]

[re: weekly list—we’re looking to have events ALL over 19th c.d. on these—let us know if you can help!]

Mon., 4/23, Day 1 of 65-Mile, Seven-Day Walk for the 99% – Report From The Road: In the misty, drizzly rain, my dog Cody and I saw Joel Tyner off on the official start of his walk shortly after 11 AM at the main entrance to the FDR National Historic Site on Route 9 in Hyde Park. When Cody and I caught up with him this afternoon outside the Lloyd Town Hall in Highland, Joel reported that Cablevisio…n came upon him just south of FDR’s home and took a slew of photos. You can rub elbows with the Intrepid One himself tonight at a 5:30 PM house party in Clintondale (154 Hull Avenue, with host Rebecca De La Cruz). Or find him at 10 AM tomorrow (4/24) in front of Lloyd Town Hall for Day 2 of his walk, from Highland to New Paltz. Join him if you can; you’ll be glad you did)!
